Helping to protect the Lake District National Park

The woodlands within our park provide a natural environment for all sorts of animals, birds, and plant life. We also have various bird stations and owl boxes throughout the site. As a result of our dedication to caring for the environment, and continued effort towards sustainable tourism practices, we have been awarded Gold by the David Bellamy Conservation Awards. We are also now a Honey Bee Friendly Park, and have won an award for supporting our local wildlife population by nurturing the hedgerows in the park.

We're also proud supporters of the Lake District Foundation. All donations made when booking with us will go towards projects which help nurture the magical landscapes and wildlife that make this part of the UK so special.

The new Countryside Code is a fantastic way of quickly summarising the things that you should make sure to do next time you visit. You can view the full code here.
