ecofriendlyparklakedistrict.jpgThe Park is conservation orientated with managed woodlands providing a natural environment for a rich biodiversity of animals, birds, flora and fauna. We have various bird stations and Owl Boxes throughout the site. As a result of our dedication to the environment, and continued effort towards sustainable tourism practices, we continue to be awarded the highest conservation accolade – Gold – by the David Bellamy Conservation Awards. We are also now a Honey Bee Friendly Park, and have won an award for supporting our local wildlife population by nurturing the hedgerows on Park.

Lake District Fondation Project

Hill of oaks is helping to protect the Lake District

We know you care about the beautiful places you love to visit here in Cumbria. We do too! And that's why we're proud to say all donations made when booking with us will be supporting the Lake District Foundation.

Donations from lovely people like you make a huge difference, helping nurture the magical landscapes and wildlife that make the Lake District so special.

This year the money you give will be supporting Experience the River. South Cumbria Rivers Trust work with local school children giving them the chance to visit and learn about river habitats and the creatures that live beneath.

Why not take a stroll by the water and see what you can spot?

If you would like to donate you can do so online here, or download their brochure here. How to donate can be found here. Please email us if you have any queries or questions about the Lake District Foundation or the donation process.
